Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
I thought I might die from 007 Overdose but quite the contrary, I survived and breathe fresh air. The 80s Bonds sucks BIG TIME. In a feminist perspective of course, 'Oh James! I miss you so much! Oh James, I was so worried!" PLEASE, kill me already! But fast forward time machine brought me Die Another Day with James' Big Bang theory in a mocking dialogue between two women seriously got my attention. The male gazers are ON but isn't that just Bond? But when there is a knife with a woman on top (it ends up with her below but that besides the point) seriously throw the big blue eye pouty lips blond dumb bond girl out of the window. The movie went downhill again when Jinx drowned and superhero had to save her.

BUT I LOVE CASINO ROYALE! Not only Vesper rocks, she itched Bond so much that he called her 'bitch'. Yay man! I'm so happy to know that Casino Royale is the remake of the first novel written by Ian Fleming. That's uber great. I heard Quantum of Solace was terrible tho.

It itched me to know that the 80s bond girl are the barbies whereas the 70s are mostly sexual predators (Pussy Galore as a Bond Girl should give you the idea).

Follow the rythm
I got my phone fixed yesterday, and relied on my pathetic telepathic skill to communicate. I caught Nights in Rodanthe. Frankly I watched it because of Richard Gere and Diane Keaton. I knew how it will end - perfectly matched my prediction. Yet I watched it anyway, maybe because lately, I've been impregnated with these insatiable emotions. I grew weary easily. And I want to let it out, but there has never been a satisfying moment for me to scream it out. Well.

It's a tear jerker. Watch it with your love ones.

Okay I should really be studying.

Bruises
My current Love Song:

Bruises by Chairlift.

What a tiring week. After spending one whole week with Husky, he finally took off. His flight was this morning. I thought I might cry like crazy. I was teary when I think of those will be missed physical companies and affections. It's difficult, especially when his voice will no longer be as near.

I had my share in crying I guess. So I didn't cry this morning. HE. was teary when he parted with his mother.

I wouldn't let him go, trade him, barter him for anything else.

I went home afterwards, chill up a little, then went to Orchard to meet 76 and SV. We had a great shopping day. And they really cheered me up. They didn't even mention anything about it, and it was a relief.

But hey! We had our party ourselves. And it was a hell ball of fun, parading along Orchard Road to The Cathay. Then part because we all have our dinner plans.

After spending my money (impulsively - of course), I came home after a dinner and dear oh dear, am I tired.

PS: Had fun watching the race! Had more fun when I REALLY can WATCH and LISTEN (without my ears being deafened) on TV. But I wouldn't trade the experience to anything else! Too bad Kimi was out.

PSS: Correction. TG is an asshole nonetheless. Never. Ever. Ever. Ever. EVER. Try to be FRIENDLY to that human being. Onggokkan daging tak berguna. Ngabis-ngabisin oksigen aja.

PSSS: I can't wait to finish all my next term's assignments, man. Then engineer my grand plan.

PSSSS: MAGAZINE IS OUT ON MONDAY! YAY YAY YIPEE!! :D:D

PSSSSS: I'm gonna have to sell my shoes or give them away! EEEKS.
Last Post Script: I watched F.F. Coppola's Youth without Youth. It started off very, very slow and boring (typical), but when it kicked, it kicks. The movie is ingeniously twisted and full of riddles. But I LOVE this movie (please note, only applicable after the kicking part). Too lazy and tired to tell you about what. Go search imdb!

Mamma Mia!
Mamma Mia! rocks my socks!

I can't believe that I said that out loud last night but it truly is! Yesterday, after my voluntary training (On Eng Teng Ng, which kind of remind me of Renoir's work).

I went to Borders for book shop! I am HAPPY I can READ finally! I got Homer's Odyssey and bunch of other light reads. After this, I'm going to get Eliad and Divine Comedy. I have only read half of the Inferno. I'm broke alright.

Then we went to Cineleisure and watched Mamma Mia! I tell you, the queue was crazily long!

And I SANG TO EVERY SONG in that freakingly good movie!

But generation divides. My friend who are younger couldn't relate that well to movie. But since Mom is a big ABBA fan, I love everysingle minute (OK, the part where Meryl Streep sings on a cliff was a bit draggy and forced, but necessary none the less). I love the movie man! Going to watch it again and buy the DVD! Yeap downloaded their soundtrack already! Haha... Couldn't find the album on gramophone.

Then we had a dinner, before I part to meet Husky. We walked back and kinda realized I miss the spontaneous kiss he used to give me, which he gave me (or otherwise) right before I jumped in to train. Since I'm a romantic, I can totally picture that in brain with a soundtrack, completed with a totally different scenario and bigger station clock! Sheeh.

Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight
Won't somebody help me chase the shadows away
Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight
Take me through the darkness to the break of the day!

Then I came back home and do some work, finished one poster, two more to go. And still have to write an appeal letter. Going to Vivo today.

The Hire
Screened these in class today. A series made by BMW "The Hire" as one of their marketing tool. Which I found very, very ingenious.

There are 8 Series and can be found on BMW USA's website.

Thirteen

This is one of the most powerful movies.

I guess, one of the most painful thing in the world, is when you're loved unconditionally. In torn between you wanted to be loved, yet you don't get the love from the person you expect to love you. You you know you're always loved, despite of what you do. And at the end, you wanted to hurt that person so bad, just because they love you the way you are. And it's frustrating. Because you're not perfect and you're changing. And you can't bear to see, if one day, that person who loves you departed from you, because they can't bear your changes. But life is a series of changes. Can you completely believe that there is a love that loves you unconditionally, despite of all your changes?

Batgirl go Brmm
THE DARK KNIGHT WAS SUPERDUPERGOOOOOOD. I was stunned until about 15mins after the show's over! It was REALLY good. I mean, borrowed from Jas, a 'Mind-fuck' movie. The plot are just... you don't know what to expect. I mean, you can relate to the craziness side of the Joker and you GET what he meant deep inside, when he rambles about the expected plans and the it only takes one person to do spontaneous thing to set the fire. I can't put it in a better sentence myself (Yes I know I'm rambling and I'll try to type the rest coherently but it's only because it's good and IMDB gave it 9.7! 9.7 man!)

And HEATH LEDGER was BRILLIANT!

You know what, the thing about this movie, is that you get it or you don't. If you're in to it then it's good. If you're more into the melodramatic side, then this movie is definitely a no. But it's the most classic plot that never fails to appeal, the classic good and bad. The twist is the good is not so good, the bad is not bad at all (in a sense) and the very good is actually very bad!

A LOT of product placement and NOKIA actually worked on me. I wanna buy the nokia Fox used in the movie! I wish they give me a better idea which laptop to buy (or, ehm, appeal to the laptop sponsors. I've had enough of MACs, man. If nothing shows up, I'll get myself a macbook. Yes, I'm a victim of the vicious marketing but I AM the product of generation Y and I live in postmodern era where the actual product doesn't have as much means as the strategic message!).

It's been a very long day. This morning I fell in the middle of 9AM street and man, my neighbor saw me and it was superembarassing. You know, if you see a girl in jeans and heels, you don't expect her to just stumble and fall. You expect her to do the sexy hair flip. And guess what, I fell UNGLAMOROUSLY and got up UNGLAMOROUSLY that a guy in a Jag had to mouth 'OH-MY-GOD' to me, like I haven't said enough of that! And to top it up, my hair fell to my face and I look like I'm having a very bad hangover.

But guess what, after that, I couldn't get more embarrassed that a class of evil business people on their degree didn't even give me a chill. I just thought, I've had my portion of embarrassment today, I simply couldn't be more embarrassed, so what does presenting in front of boring business people will do to me? Naaaaaaahhh.

Then went to Cathay with Jo, Jon and QQ and catch The Dark Knight. Hey! Why so serious!

Then went to Suntec to pass Husky the shirt I got him yesterday and I left my NOTES AND ASSIGNMENTS FOLDER either on the bus or at La Senza. I'm more worry about the first one. Pray that I can sleep tonight. I'm frantic! My NOTES!!!! ARGH.

PS: I love Bruce Wayne.

Hello Sunshine!
No, no, it's raining heavily. However, watashi wa shiawase desu! Yes I've been learning Japanese. Anyway, my dear friend 76 is here and brought me this VERY EXTREMELY DELICIOUS NO OTHER KIND IN THE WORLD BANANA FRITTER SNACK we call PISANG GORENG KEPOK branded ANEKA with CHOCOLATE flavour that is going to keep me fat and happy for the rest of the singular pack. Which is very sad because it's only ONE pack. I'm sad! It's superduperextremeseriously delicious. Indonesia has the best food, non? Oui, oui.

I was happy these few days. I bought this Chopin collection and have been listening to it. As I am now, under the rain. And I've been writing again. And I played Luge with 76 yesterday! What fun. Miss it!

And I have a date tonight with a perfect summerdress. Husky said it doesn't look nice because too much of skin.

Moi: "Then. Do I look nice?"
Him: "Yes."

So I'm wearing it! Besides, what's the point of having summer if one cannot show one's fabulous tan (Which moi have none because of my superfair skin that refuses to tan!).

Then I watched Wanted. Which left me hanging at the end. Watch it for the action though. It's not a very good movie, I'd say. But definitely awesome Angelina Jolie! I'd like to fire a gun like that!

QQ is coming back today and school starts monday! So fast? Bbbb..bbbut I haven't got enough rest, yet!

I want to watch Hancock!

Random, but the food that I like is weird. I normally cook pasta at home because it's the easiest. But I love, love, LOVE, poached broccoli, carrot and egg tofu with oyster sauce. I cannot think of other food that can substitute the simplicity and delicacy. Oh, other than broccoli and scallop, I think? I looove scallop! And black pepper crab! Excuse me! Need to eat ASAP!

Black Book
What is it about world war II that is simply irresistible. Could it be formed by the copious lives affected that had been captured and overexposed by the media that I consume?

However,

I watch this today at the picturehouse...

The heroine was a chameleon, together with twisted plot, double crossing backstabber. The plot was so complex and absurd that makes the whole movie believable. It's based on real stories... It reminded me a little of All About Eve... Bravo to the director. Watch it, you'll know what I mean.

Movies!
This week is supposed to be my mad week, because two of my deadlines are due next week. But well. On the premier day, I couldn't afford to miss Sex and the City! :D

Yes, yes, cliche, yep, chickflick, yep, frills and overthetop gowns but hey! It's SEX AND THE CITY, dude. What do you expect? Watched it with Rene and Dora. It wasn't the best movie around, though. If you haven't watched the series you may want to stay out of it, and watch Narnia: Prince Caspian!

But it's the first time I watch at Great World City cinema. Talk about which, the biggest screen I've watched in Singapore was the one at the Science Centre, watching Spiderwick's Chronicles. 0.5 metres bigger than GVMax, if I'm not mistaken.

Anyhow, Prince Caspian.

Watch it with Jo, Ashton and QQ. I've shuddered and goosebumpsed. I finally understood, a carrier in mass communications means that you can't enjoy any form of communication without critical thinking. Even reading a newspaper today, or seeing a photograph in the paper, I would screen any form of public relations there, or any kind of subliminal messaging there. Watching Prince Caspian, I was hoping to get entertained, but lord, it was almost tiring to watch, because I noticed every single camera angle, I noted down the scriptstyle, I noticed the fade ins of the soundtracks, the special effects and everything.

BUT. Since I get free tickets every monday and discounted tickets on Tuesday, priority seatings on Wednesday, I shall watch movies everyday.

Today is a mark on my relationship with Husky. We hit the ten months' hike. Let's see how far can we go...

We celebrated it with a few drinks, found out that our resistance levels have gone waaay down. We produced out the gift from Erka, a bottle of the finest vodka in Mongolia, the Chinggis Vodka. The shooter battle goes and we're tipsy about half a bottle.

Another finding, is that Myojo Mee Soto Ayam the instant noodles actually tastes good! :D

It is not supposed to be a long post. Anyway, shall go back to work now.

Ciao.
